Increase awareness of FDA-approved surgical waste management technology to enhance shareholder value

ISSUE

With a lack of eyeballs on its story, Skyline Medical came to KCSA to increase awareness in the medical and investment community. Doctors, nurses and investors were unaware of the Company’s superior technology and equally unaware that Skyline Medical was a public company trading under the symbol SKLN. To the extent Skyline’s main competitor was facing a recall of its technology, this provided a perfect opportunity for Skyline to raise awareness in the marketplace.

IDEA

KCSA developed an integrated investor relations and public relations campaign designed to increase awareness in key target markets. Our goal was two-fold: (1) Position Skyline Medical's STREAMWAY® System as a superior and economically minded alternative that hospitals and surgical centers should turn to in order to fill the void in their operating room waste management systems; and (2) introduce the company to investors and make them aware of the investment opportunity that existed for them to take advantage of.

Integrated IR and PR campaign to increase exposure.

IMPACT

KCSA secured a number of important media placements as well as introduced Skyline management to numerous targeted institutional and retail investors. As a result of this awareness, trading volume and stock price increased significantly; 400% since the beginning of the program.

Skyline’s stock price increased over 400% since KCSA was retained.
