Build an IR outreach program to increase institutional investor base

ISSUE

In the first half of 2009, prior to retaining KCSA, ClickSoftware was executing upon its long-term growth strategy and delivering encouraging operating results. However, the company's stock was undervalued compared to its peer group and its institutional ownership percentage was below average.

IDEA

KCSA was initially retained to organize the Company's very first Analyst & Investor Day in the United States. The event exceeded expectations, attracting 30 institutional investors and 10 sell side analysts. Following the success of the event, KCSA was fully retained to put into place an IR program that would strategically improve messaging to demonstrate the true value that existed within the Company, increase awareness of the Company in the U.S. and enhance the investment community's perception of the Company.

Successful Analyst and Investor Day attracted dozens of institutional investors and sell-side analysts.

IMPACT

Since ClickSoftware's engagement with KCSA, institutional ownership has increased every quarter rising from 27% to 51%. The number of sell side analysts covering the Company has increased significantly and management has been introduced and exposed to hundreds of institutional investors. Management has benefited from increased financial media activity including a featured interview with Jim Cramer on Mad Money.
